2010 Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program is back for 2010, with this year's program being centered around The 39 Clues.

The 2010 Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program is a wonderful program that is a fun and easy way for your children to earn free books, not to mention getting in some summer reading!

Your children get to read any eight books of their own choosing, document the places visited in each book in the Passport to Summer Reading Journal (download and print out on Barnes and Noble website) and bring the completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble bookstore between May 25 and September 7, 2010. Your child will then get to pick a free book from a list of exceptional paperback titles*.

From the Barnes and Noble website - " *Eligible books will be listed on the coupon. Choices must be made from available stock. No special orders. Limit of one (1) form per school-age child (grades 1-6), please. Incomplete form will be ineligible for free books."

This year they have also added a Parent Activity Kit and a Educator Kit where you can download fun activities and get teaching tips.

You can learn more about the program and print out the Summer Reading Journal by clicking: 2010 Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

This is truly a wonderful program and a great opportunity to have your children get in some summer reading and earn a free book. I've had many readers of Fun 4 The Children write in about previous years programs, to let me know that their children participated and enjoyed earning free books!

Kiddies, grab your books and get to reading. Have fun!
