Introducing Your Children to the Arts Booklet

I just received this wonderful booklet from the National Endowment for the Arts. It's called Imagine!, Introducing Your Children to the Arts and it offers parents practical ways to introduce their children to the arts.

Introducing Your Child to the Arts

The booklet includes activities and suggestions in literature, dance, music, theater, visual arts, folk arts, and media arts. The activities and suggestions in Imagine! are aimed specifically at children ages 3 - 8 years of age.

Also included in the center of this booklet is a pull out guide that offers information about children's developmental stages from ages 3 - 8, and includes examples or arts activities that adults can do with their children at these different ages.

Parents, you can download this booklet directly to your computer or you can order a hard copy through the mail.

This 68-page booklet is available, free of cost, when you visit the National Endowment for the Arts website NEA Website.

For all parents, when you get the booklet or if you already have it, please share any thoughts on it with the readers off Fun 4 The Children, be it good or bad. Thanks!

Hi.

So glad I ran across your blog.

I have spent the past three years, championing online safety education and awareness not only in my local elementary school, but entire Region. As someone who works with over 500 children every single week, I am always searching and looking for safe and fun educational tools.

I am going to add this site to my list of links, for parents and educators.

Thanks for mentioning online safety and McGruff!
